Antique (probably late 19th Century) woollen Welsh costume, comprising: traditional striped begwn/bedgown, traditional striped woollen apron, a red and black striped underskirt and a woollen check shawl with fringed edge. (4)

Shawl has multiple small holes and some small brown stains, fringe is OK. Begwn has multiple small hoes to the bottom and stains to the lining also, the bottom of the bodice has punched holes. Apron has multiple holes and the ribbon/tie is worn. Skirt has stains and one small and one larger hole, there is a hole to the waistband and multiple small holes to the skirt and binding to the bottom. One white stain noted. Fastening is modern (later addition) - button and loop of elastic.
